Easy DIY for Paper Cups

There are so many things you can create using recycled Paper Cups. Most of the trendy DIYs are made of paper cups, simply because you can easily reuse it or buy it at the market cheaply.

Wreath Paper Cups

  • Put a hot glue stick on the inside lower lip of the 1st paper cup and slide the 2nd paper cup inside of the 1st one. 
  • Make sure that the glue can strongly stick the cups together.
  • Repeat this method to the other cups until a full circle of paper cups has formed
  • Use an elegant Fabric to hang the wreath anywhere you like. 
  • You can tie the fabric creatively to make it look more beautiful and clean.

Paper Cup Lights

How to:

  • Cover the whole plastic cup with a construction paper. 
  • Make sure that you trace the paper on the cup carefully and properly. 
  • Cut the excess of the construction paper so that it’ll fit on the cup.
  • Stick the ends of the paper together with double face tapes to the cup. Repeat this process to the other cups.
  • Using the cutter make an X shaped slit at the bottom of the paper cups, so that you can drop the small light bulbs inside the cups.
  • When the process above is done you can now hang your DIY Paper Cup Lights.

  • Use the scissors or the cutter to cut 6-7 evenly spaced slits around the edges of the cup, 2 cm deep.
  • Punch a hole in the center of each section using the eyelet punch.
  • Cut the edges of the cup and cover it with a washi tape to make it look clean.
  • Finish it by inserting the twine in every whole of the cup, tie it properly and make it look pretty.

  • Draw a circle pattern around the cup, one or two inches from the mouth of the cup using a pencil.
  • Using the scissors cut evenly spaced slits reaching the circle drawn.
  • Bend the slits backward.
  • Cut the edges of the slits making a curved edge.
  • Use the acrylic paint to cover the paper cups with any colors. 
  • You can also design the cup to make it look pretty using the acrylic paint.
  • Once the paint is dry, make holes at two opposite points in the cup for attaching the handle.
  • Insert the metal string in the holes, it serves as a handle of the basket. You can insert some beads to the metal string to add more life.
