What you need:
- Cylinder vase
- Artificial flowers
- Vase fillers (sand, marbles, shells, crushed glass)
- Floating candle
- Water
- Scissors
How to:
- Measure your faux flowers that will go in the vase
- Cut stems or petals of the faux flowers to your preference
- Cover the bottom of the cylinder vase with your filler
- Add flowers to the vase
- Fill the vase with water leaving about two inches for the floating candle
- Position the vase on the table before adding the floating candle
- Light the candle right before the party starts
Tip: test artificial flowers for possible dye bleeding by soaking it in the water 24 hours before the event.
Upside Down Wine Glass With Faux Flowers And Candles
What you need:
- Wine glasses (same height)
- Faux flowers
- Colored or white candles (depending on the theme)
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
How to:
- Choose combinations of artificial flowers (include stems if preferred)
- Cut the flower/s that will fit perfectly inside the dome of the wine glass
- Place the flower/s on the table or mat with enough spacing
- Cup the flowers by placing the wine glass upside down
- Place the candles on the base of the wine glass
- To secure the candles, attach a double-sided tape
- Light the candle
Sand With Flowers Centerpieces
What you need:
- Glass vases or small fish bowls
- Play sand
- Flowers (fresh or artificial)
- Flower water tubes (for fresh flowers)
- Scissors
How to:
- Choose various sizes of glass vases or fish bowls
- Prepare your play sand (do not use sand from the beach or park because it has bacteria)
- Fill the glass or bowl with play sand half full
- If you are using fresh flowers, snip the leaves at the bottom of the flower so it won’t show. Cut the stem into three inches long (or shorter if you have a shorter glass). Trim the flower water tubes if needed to fit into the size of the glass then fill with water. Insert the stem through the tube hole
- Bury the flower water tube in the sand
- Fluff the flower to emphasize the volume and thickness
- If you are using artificial flowers, simply bury the stem in the sand
Tip: for a more romantic look, use the smallest and shortest vase to be filled with sand and top with floating candle. Place this beside the sand with flower centerpieces
Paper Lantern Vase Centerpieces
What you need:
- Paper lanterns
- Tall jar (about the same height of the lantern
- Flowers and leaves (optional)
- Wires
How to:
- Fold out the lantern
- Place the jar inside the lantern (the jar should reach the opening of the lantern)
- Secure the jar inside the lantern using wires
- If you are using fresh flowers, cover the base of the jar with water
- Start adding the flowers, stems, and leaves
- If you are using artificial flower, no need to add water. Simply add and arrange the flowers as you wish
Candle With Greenery Centerpieces
What you need:
- Thick and large white candles
- Greenery (leaves, stems)
- Ribbons
- Scissors
- Transparent narrow tape
- Wood plank, plate or any base you want
How to:
- Prepare greenery by trimming (leaves or stems must be almost identical in size and length)
- Arrange greenery around the thick large candle
- Secure the greenery using a transparent narrow tape
- Tie a ribbon around the candle (on the same spot of the tape)
- Place the candles on the wood plank, plate or your preferred base
