Harvest Centerpiece
What you need:
- Jar or glass
- Twine
- Beans and seeds (lentils, dried corn kernels, dried red kidney beans)
- Candle
How to:
- Tie a piece of twine around the neck or top part of the jar or glass
- Repeat wrapping the twine around the jar or glass for three to four times
- Secure the twine by tying in a bow
- Fill the bottom of the glass or jar with about a half cup of dried split lentils or peas
- Follow with dried corn kernels
- Top with dried red kidney beans
- Push a candle down
- Light the candle before the meal starts
Tip: you may choose the order of the beans and seeds
Pumpkin Succulent Centerpiece
What you need:
- Pumpkin
- Succulents (potted or cuttings)
- Moss
- Carving knife
- Big spoon
- Marker
How to:
- Use a marker to draw a circle (doesn’t have to be a perfect circle) around the stem of the pumpkin
- Cut the marked circle shape using a carving knife
- Scoop out the seeds and goop with a big spoon
- Place the succulents inside the pumpkin (you may directly place the potted succulent inside or mix and match succulent cuttings
- Add moss to fill the gaps around the pumpkin opening
Apple Candle Centerpiece
What you need:
- Fresh apples (red and/or green)
- Tea lights
- Knife
- Pen
- Spoon
- Lemon juice
- Brush
How to:
- Place the tea light on top of the apple and trace the circle with a pen
- Cut around the circle with a knife (first, make a shallow cut then go deeper for easy cutting)
- Scrape out the apple enough for the tea light to fit inside
- Brush lemon juice on the inside of the apple to prevent from browning
- Press down the tea light
- Repeat the process to make the desired number of apple candles
Green Vegetables Candle Holder Centerpiece
What you need:
- White candles (size can vary)
- Twine
- Green vegetable (asparagus, french beans, etc)
- Ribbon (gold, olive green, brown, or maroon)
- Double-sided tape
- Knife
- Scissors
How to:
- Arrange the green vegetables and cut to achieve similar height
- Randomly stick double-sided tape diagonally to the candle, leaving out about ¼ of the top part
- One by one, line up the trimmed vegetables against and around the white candle
- Once the entire round of the candle is covered with vegetables, tie a ribbon around
- Secure the ribbon by tying in a knot and a bow
