Plastic Spoon Candle Holder

  • First draw a circle on the cardstock paper, about three inches, and then cut it using scissors.
  • Paint 21 plastic spoon’s scoops on the front and back sides and then paint about an inch down the spoon’s necks. You do not need to paint all the way down the handles.
  • Let it dry.
  • Cut the unpainted handles leaving each one with a short neck that’s about an inch long below its scooped head.
  • Stick the curved back of a spoon head on the Cardstock Paper using hot glue.
  • Make sure that the handles face inwards and meet in the center while their rounded top edges splay outwards all the way around the circle.
  • Glue the second layer of plastic spoons on top and in between the first layer of spoons.
  • Third layer, fill in the spaces in the two layers you’ve set down that angles upwards slightly.
  • Fill the topmost holes or spaces all the way around so that you have an additional layer of spoon heads.
  • Draw another circle on the cardstock paper the same size as the center of your spoon candle holder.
  • Attach the paper circle into the center of your spoon structure.
  • Place your candle on the center where the new paper circle is attached.

  • Paint the whole plastic spoons using the spray paint, make sure that you covered the spoons properly.
  • Let the paint on the plastic spoons dry
  • Carefully glue the spoons by placing the round bowl of the spoon on the top of the handle of the second spoon. 
  • You want the second spoon’s handle to be longer than the first one. Repeat until the spoons have created a circular pattern.
  • Let the glue dry perfectly.
  • Add the decorative ribbon and hang it up on your wall.
