Easy Thanksgiving DIY Decors

Fall Leaf Lantern

What you need:

• Autumn leaves; fabric or real (malleable and not stiff)
• Mason jar (clean and greaseless)
• Sponge brush
• Mod Podge
• Twine/rafia
• Candle

How to put it together

1.  Dip the sponge brush in the Mod Podge and apply a thin layer on a section of the jar
2. Check if the Mod Podge is sticky by dabbing a finger
3. Once sticky, gently place a leaf on the jar
4. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge onto the top part of the previous leaf
5. Layer another leaf, overlapping with the other leaf
6. Repeat the process until the jar is covered with leaves
7. Use your fingers to smoothen the edges
8. Let it dry for at least three hours
9. Finish the look by tying a twine or rafia around the neck of the jar
10. Place the candle inside and light before dinner starts

Autumn Leaves Table Runner

What you need:

• Craft paint (color of your choice)
• Paint brush
• Craft paper
• Leaf stencils

How to put it together:

1. Cut  the craft paper according to the size of your table (leave few inches longer in both edges to allow paper to hang off the table)
2. Create a pattern that will run across the table runner
3. Once decided with the pattern, start painting using leaf stencils and craft paint
4. Let dry

DIY Flowers and Gourd Centerpieces

What you need:

• Gourds
• Flowers
• Knife
• Spoon
• Water

How to:

1. Slice off the top part of the gourds
2. Scoop out all the seeds
3. Fill gourds with water
4. Place and arrange the flowers

Pumpkin Drink Cooler

What you need:

• Large round pumpkin
• Big spoon or scooper
• Knife
• Marker
• Bottled beverages
• Ice

How to:

1. Using a marker, draw a line around the pumpkin past half way up
2. The marker line is your guide to cut the pumpkin in half, cut below the line
3. Start scooping the seeds out
4. Once all the goop has been scooped, cut away pumpkin flesh to get a thinner edge
5. Fill the half of the pumpkin with ice
6. Arrange the bottles inside the pumpkin
7. Add more ice to fill the gaps

Golden Feather Tips Garland

What you need:

• Feathers
• String
• Hot glue
• Gold spray paint
• Paper

How to put it together:

1. On a countertop, lay the string flat
2. Arrange the feathers at least three inches apart
3. If satisfied with the arrangement, apply a dab of hot glue onto the tip of the feather and stick to the string
4. Stick all feathers to the desired length of the garland
5. Cover the rest of the feathers with paper leaving the tips only
6. Start spray painting
7. Let dry
